Restoration of natural stone such as granite, marble or travertine requires deep cleaning and also the removal of scratch marks from the surface.
Most resurfacing via the specialist processes of grinding, honing, polishing and sealing is done mechanically using diamond-tipped, abrasive tools and other equipment for working marble, granite and engineered stone. Only an experienced specialist can recognize the proper order of diamond grits required to achieve the desired results. Technicians at NDA REVIVE use only the highest quality of diamond abrasives to clean, repair and restore your marble, granite or other natural stone back to its former beauty and brilliance. Throughout this process we use diamond-tipped abrasive pads or grits which we attach to the bottom of the pad driver on our machines.
Machine Diamond Grinding:
Granite, Terrazzo, Marble, Limestone and Travertine stone floors are machine diamond grinded and then highly polished to restore floors back to their original natural beauty. This process leaves a high but natural non-slip polish on stone floors which can then be easily maintained by our customers.
Honing is the process for smoothing the stone with the use of abrasives. The diamonds make the floor smooth and clean. Moderate scratch marks can be removed through honing. A satin finish can be achieved here.
This is an aggressive process we recommend to remove deep scratches or to use when stone tiles are uneven.
This is messy work but worth it.
The stone will start to show a shine during this process. We use finer and finer abrasive polishing pads to produce a highly reflective finish.
